(1) 找出自己的三至五个优点;

(2) 每个优点找出n多个例子, 举例最好来自学习、 工作和生活等三个方面, 而不是仅仅来自一个方面;

 【思路】:a.

?

1.how to introduce yourself at the beginning of a interview ?

you must also be prepared for the common mistakes people make in interviews. be assertive not aggressive, find a middle way between boasting and passivity. this is an opportunity for you to talk about your personal characteristics and skills. remember to remain relevant and to stress achievements that translate into strengths you would bring to the job.

2. what are your strengths and weaknesses?

question:

hint:talk about relevant strengths for the job and irrelevant weaknesses. if you can, mention a personal weakness that could be seen as a professional strength; i’m a workaholic! (though avoid being seen as insincere)

4.what are your salary requirements?

for example

say you would be open to any reasonable offer and if pressed for a figure give a number that shows you have researched the local job market.

5. pay attention to the simple questions

sometimes an interview question might seem very simple but, don’t be deceived, there is always a reason for them asking that question. here is some questions & answers:

q: if you had to compare yourself with any animal; which one would it be and why?

a:

q: describe how a sport or hobby taught you a lesson in teamwork?

hint:the books you read tell the interviewer something about your personality. mentioning a relevant journal would be a good idea, saying you don’t like to read would be a bad idea!

a:

question:

hint: mention anything that shows an interest in the employer’s kind of work. bring up any interesting or unusual projects in that area.

question:

hint: it’s good to have strong outside interests and if they are pastimes that would be an asset to the job, so much the better.

6.do you have any questions for us?

question:

show you have been attentive during the interview; develop questions that have arisen during the interview.

towards the end of your interview you should have asked the key question about what happens next. something like “how soon will you make a decision on whom you plan to hire?

for example: yes – about your ethical policy, and your carbon footprint…i was wondering whether you are planning to reduce your carbon footprint and whether all your products are ethically sourced?

7.问: tell me about yourself.

答: i was born and raised in dalian, china. i attended the university of beijing and received my masters degree in economics. i have worked for 5 years as a financial consultant in beijing for various companies including rossi consultants, peoples insurance of china and pepsi. i enjoy playing soccer in my free time and traveling.

答: ive just graduated from the university of toronto with a degree in computers science. during the summers, i worked as a systems administrator for a small company to help pay for my education.

8.问: what type of position are you looking for?

答: im interested in an entry level (beginning) position.

答: im looking for a position in which i can utilize my experience.

答: i would like any position for which i qualify.

9.问: are you interested in a full-time or part-time position?

答: i am more interested in a full-time position. however, i would also consider a part-time position.

10.问: can you tell me about your responsibilities at your last job?

答: i advised customers on financial matters. after i consulted the customer, i completed a customer inquiry form and catalogued the information in our database. i then collaborated with colleagues to prepare the best possible package for the client. the clients were then presented with a summarized report on their financial activities that i formulated on a quarterly basis.

11.问: what is your greatest strength?

答: i work well under pressure. when there is a deadline (a time by which the work must be finished), i can focus on the task at hand (current project) and structure my work schedule well. i remember one week when i had to get 6 new customer reports out by friday at 5. i finished all the reports ahead of time without having to work overtime.

答: i am an excellent communicator. people trust me and come to me for advice. one afternoon, my colleague was involved with a troublesome (difficult) customer who felt he was not being served well. i made the customer a cup of coffee and invited both my colleague and the client to my desk where we solved the problem together.

答: i am a trouble shooter. when there was a problem at my last job, the manager would always ask me to solve it. last summer, the lan server at work crashed. the manager was desperate and called me in (requested my help) to get the lan back online. after taking a look at the daily backup, i detected the problem ahttp://www.wenku1.comnd the lan was up and running (working) within the hour.

12.问: what is your greatest weakness?

答: i am overzealous (work too hard) and become nervous when my co-workers are not pulling their weight (doing their job). however, i am aware of this problem, and before i say anything to anyone, i ask myself why the colleague is having difficulties.

答: i tend to spend too much time making sure the customer is satisified. however, i began setting time-limits for myself if i noticed this happening.

13.问:why do you want to work for us?

答: after following your firms progress for the last 3 years, i am convinced that smith and sons are becoming one of the market leaders and i would like to be part of the team.

答: i am impressed by the qualitiy of your products. i am sure that i would be a convincing salesman because i truly believe that the atomizer is the best product on the market today.

14.问: when can you begin?

答: immediately.

答: as soon as you would like me to begin.

面试时招聘人员总会问你:”do you have any questions?”

the competitive environment in which the organization operates

what obstacles the organization anticipates in meeting its goals

how the organizations goals have changed over the past three to five years

1. what are the main objectives and responsibilities of the position?

2. how does the company expect these objectives to be met?

3. what obstacles are commonly encountered in reaching these objectives?

4. what is the desired time frame for reaching the objectives?

5. what resources are available from the company and what must be found elsewhere to reach the objectives?

①i:what is your major?

a:my major is business administration. i am especially interested in“marketing”。

②i:which university are you attending?

a:i am attending×××university.

③i:have you received any degrees?

a:yes. first, i received my bachelor degree in english literature, and then an mba degree.

⑤i:do you feel that you have received a good general training?

a:yes, i have studied in an english training program and a computer training program since i graduated from university. i am currently studying finance at a training school.

①i:have you ever been employed?

②i:your resume says you have had one-year experience working in a foreign representative office in shanghai, may i ask why you left?

a:i worked in a foreign rep.office for one year.however,i left there two years ago because the work they gave me was rather dull.i found another job that is more interesting.

③i:have you done any work in this field?

④i:what qualifications do you have that make you feel you will be successful in your field?

⑤i:what have you learned from the jobs you have had?

a:i have learned a lot about business know how and basic office skills. in addition, i learned at my previous job show to cooperate with my colleagues.

first one: work experience

“work experience” is the type of work you”ve done in the past.if you haven”t started working yet

you can say “center now i”m still a student.” or “i”m a recent grad and ihaven”t started working yet.”

in the second sentence, “recent grad” is short for”recent graduate” and means that you have just finished

school.

“center now i”m still a student.”(现在我还是个学生。)或者说“i”m a recent grad and

i haven”t started working yet.”(我刚刚毕业,还没有开始工作。)“recent grad”是“recentgraduate”

second one: what”s your greatest weakness?

this is a popular question that western employers like to ask to make candidates nervous! in fact,

they ask this to know how you respond to a difficult question. you shouldn”t answer by telling your

greatest weakness since you might not get the job! instead, you can tell them something that isn”t

directly related tothe jobposition.

third one: why do you feel you are qualified for this job?

this question is a good opportunity to brag a little bit.you should talk about some extra skills

you have that maybe wasn”t included in your resume, or talk about your greatest strengthinmore detail.

fourth one: what kind of salary did you have in mind?

salary is how much money you earn, usually per year. when asked this, it”s best to answer with

a salary range or approximation and not an exact figure. this shows that you are familiar with the

industry if you know what the approximate salary should be.

fifth one: if hired, when could you start work?

when answering this it”s best not to say you can start center away. this might make you seem very

desperate for a job. a safe answer would be “i can start at the beginning of nextmonth.”

一个非常保险的回答可以是“icanstart at the beginning of next month.”(我下月初可以开始上班。)

sixth one: what kind of work does the posi-tion involve?

you can ask this to clarify exactly what kind of work you”llbedoing.

外教william hill说:“i interviewed a lot of candidates in shanghai, a few of which

did impress me deeply with veteran skills. i was surprised at their spoken english because

they appeared to be a chinese american. i just couldn’t decline them.”

关于这个问题william hill说:“i don’t think candidates with those certificates are up to par,

because what we focus on is the communicating ability. and, as is known, cet and tem don’t seem

to test one’s speaking skills. but he who owns an ielts or toefl certificate may be preferred.”

3、关于介绍自己的:could you say something about yourself? could you sell yourself within a few minutes?

英语的大好机会,so don’t miss the boat!

4、关于应聘动机的:why do you wanna work for us? what makes you come here today?

时候充满信心,不要说是来试试的(you really wanna take a try?),如果能事先将公司信息整理

5、关于你的弱点:what do you think is your greatest weakness? may i know it?

注意后面那句是客气的,千万别说no,也别说”i don’t think i have any weakness”。

6、关于你过去的工作:how do you like your last job? why did ya leave your last job?

7、关于你将来的打算:how long do you propose to work here?

8、反问的机会:ok, now if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

“nope, i have none, thanks!”

表达而已。在某些特定职位的招聘上,可能外企更看重的是个人的职业能力而对英语表达要求甚低;

1、up to par

2、i won’t let the cat out of the bag.

3、get on the ball

4、a piece of cake

5、face the music

1. what is important to you in a job?mention specific rewards other than a paycheck for example, challenge, the feeling of accomplishment, and knowing that you have made a contribution.2. why do you want to work for this organization?cite its reputation, the opportunities it offers, and the working conditions. stress that you want to work for this organization, not just any organization.3. why should we employ you?point to your academic preparation, job skills, and enthusiasm about working for the firm.

mention your performance in school or previous employment as evidence of your ability to

learn and to become productive quickly. if the job involves management responsibilities, refer to

past activities as proof of your ability to get along with others and to work as part of a team.4. if we hire you, how long will you stay with us?answer by saying along these lines: “as long as my position here allows me to learn and

to advance at a pace with my abilities.”5. can we offer you a career path?reply: “i believe you could, once i know the normal progression within the organization.

can you tell me about it?” the answer may be revealing.6. what are your greatest strengths?give a response like one of the following: “i can see what needs to be done and do it”,

“i’m wiling to make decisions”, “i work well with others,” “i can organize my time efficiently.”7. what are you greatest weakness?identify one or two, such as the following:” i tend to drive myself toohard”, ” i expect others to perform beyond their capacities”, ” i like to see a job done quickly, and i’m critical if it isn’t.” note these weaknesses could also be regarded as desirable qualities. the trick with this question is to describe a weakness so that it could also be considered a virtue.

you’ll find that they are minor when discussed along with all the positive things you have to offer.11. where do you want to be five years from now?saying that you’d like to be president is unrealistic, yet few employers want people who are content

to sit still. you might say, “in five years, i’d like to have my boss’s job. ” if you can’t qualify for your

boss’s job by then, you may not be the fright candidate.12. what are your salary expectations?if you are asked this at the outset, it’s best to say, “why don’t we discuss salary after you decide

whether i’m right for the job? “but if the interviewer asks this after showing real interest in you, speak up.

she or he will probably try to meet your price. if you need a clue about what to ask for, say,

” can you discuss your salary range with me?”13. what would you do if….?this question is designed to test your reposes. for example: “what wouldyou do if your computer broke down during an audit?” your answer there isn’t nearly so important as

your approach to the problem. and a calm approach is best. start by saying, “one thing i might do is …”

then give several alternative choices.14. what type of position are you interested in?job titles and responsibilities vary from firm to firm . so state your skills instead, such as

“i’m good at figure work,” and the positions that req15. tell me something about yourself.say you’ll be happy to talk about yourself, and ask what the interviewerwants to know. if this point is clarified, respond. if not, tell why you feel your skills will contribute to

the job and the organization. this question gives you a great opportunity to sell yourself.16. do you have any questions about the organization or the job? employers like a candidate who

is interested in the organization. so this is a perfect time to convey your interest and enthusiasm?

如果聘用你,那将是他们的幸运!one last great tip about the actual interview: always end the interview with, “i am very interested in

the position. what are the next steps to take?” boy, are you eager? they’d be lucky to have you!

have questions of your own. toward the end of interview. the interviewer is going to lean

into you and say,” do you have any questions for me? you must have questions. first, don’t rush

into your answer. look as if you are thinking about whether you have any questions and then ask

an appropriate one from the list you’ve thought about beforehand. here is a handful of potential questions:how would you describe a typical workday?/what is the best part of working at this company for you?

are there significant opportunities to take seminars, classes to learn more about the different facets

of the company?/why did you join the company?

interviewers love to talk about themselves, so these questions will win them over every time.?

have answers ready for these popular interview questions:tell me a little about yourself./what interests you most about this position?/where so you see yourself

in 5,10,20 years?/what is your ultimate career goal?/tell me about a project that had a tough problem

that you solved./what are your greatest strengths?/what did you like about your last job?/what separates

you from other candidates?/how do your previous experience/academic preparation and college activities

relate to this work?

most importantly, sell yourself as a problem solver. think about the work you have done, the job you had in

college, volunteer work you did, or the club that you founded. then proceed to illustrate how you solved a

particular problem by breaking that experience into three parts:1)the problem you encountered,

2)how you analyzed it, and 3)the solution you implemented.

the best thin you can do for your interviewers is to make his/her job easier. if interviewers walk out after

talking to you feeling like they carried the weight of the conversation, which is a strike against you.

but if your exchange leaves them with a feeling of,“hey, i enjoyed that,” that could move you that

much closer to hearing that you got the job.first is the trap question, which comes up in almost every interview. the trap question is some

variaton on“ what is the area you need most improvement in? ”or“ what is your area of weakness?”

the real answer may be that you have are lousy to attention detail or that you are incredibly shy.

whatever you do, don’t share your personal weaknesses. instead, try to find something to say that

isn’t a real weakness,but a slightly less-than-ideal characteristic. for example: “i prefer to see a

project through from start to finish rather than working on a single component and never seeing the

finished product. i sometimes find it a bit frustrating to work without that overall context.”“ sometimes

i have a hard time saying no to people, and i end up taking on more than my share of work.” if you

really can’t think of anything to say, you can always go with this time-tesed (albeit cliched) comeback:

“i’m a perfectionist. i need to improve on not being so hard on myself and making sure i get everything right.

be on the lookout for questions about why you left your old company and why you are interested

in the new one. these questions(or their offspring) are designed to make sure your interest in the new

company is sincere and not due to you being fired and/or having the interviewer throws at you:“why were

you fired?”keep the answer simple and brief.“it was a hostile environment in which many people were

let go,”is a good way to handle it.

这里只是几个常见的英文面试问题,以供参考,多见于外企what are your weaknesses?this is the most dreaded question of all. handle it by minimizing your weakness and emphasizing your

strengths. stay away from personal qualities and concentrate on professional traits: “i am always working on

improving my communication skills to be a more effective presenter. i recently joined toastmasters, which i find very helpful.”

why should we hire you?summarize your experiences: “with five years’ experience working in the financial industry and my proven

record of saving the company money, i could make a big difference in your company. i’m confident i would be

a great addition to your team.”

why do you want to work here?the interviewer is listening for an answer that indicates you’ve given this some thought and are not sending

out resumes just because there is an opening. for example, “i’ve selected key companies whose mission

statements are in line with my values, where i know i could be excited about what the company does,

and this company is very high on my list of desirable choices.”what are your goals?sometimes it’s best to talk about short-term and intermediate goals rather than locking yourself into the

distant future. for example, “my immediate goal is to get a job in a growth-oriented company. my long-term

goal will depend on where the company goes. i hope to eventually grow into a position of responsibility.”why did you leave (are you leaving) your job?if you’re unemployed, state your reason for leaving in a positive context: “i managed to survive two rounds

of corporate downsizing, but the third round was a 20 percent reduction in the workforce, which included me.”

if you are employed, focus on what you want in your next job: “after two years, i made the decision to

look for a company that is team-focused, where i can add my experience.”when were you most satisfied in your job?the interviewer wants to know what motivates you. if you can relate an example of a job or project

when you were excited, the interviewer will get an idea of your preferences. “i was very satisfied in my last job,

because i worked directly with the customers and their problems; that is an important part of the job for me.”what can you do for us that other candidates can’t?what makes you unique? this will take an assessment of your experiences, skills and traits. summarize

concisely: “i have a unique combination of strong technical skills, and the ability to build strong customer

relationships. this allows me to use my knowledge and break down in&#102 rmation to be more user-friendly.”what are three positive things your last boss would say about you?it’s time to pull out your old per&#102 rmance appraisals and boss’s quotes. this is a great way to brag

about yourself through someone else’s words: “my boss has told me that i am the best designer he has ever

had. he knows he can rely on me, and he likes my sense of humor.”what salary are you seeking?it is to your advantage if the employer tells you the range first. prepare by knowing the going rate in

your area, and your bottom line or walk-away point. one possible answer would be: “i am sure when the time

comes, we can agree on a reasonable amount. in what range do you typically pay someone with my background?”if you were an animal, which one would you want to be?interviewers use this type of psychological question to see if you can think quickly. if you answer “a bunny,”

you will make a soft, passive impression. if you answer “a lion,” you will be seen as aggressive. what type of

personality would it take to get the job done? what impression do you want to make??

例如,一则关于marketing management trainee和job requirement是这样写的:we are looking for a competent person to fill the captioned position:university graduate majors in marketing management. prepared to develop career in the commercial field-outgoing personality-able to communicate with different levels-good knowledge in pc operations -proficiency in written and spoken english/mandarin 则你相应地考虑自己的qualification的选择和表述,如你可写(与上列各项对应):-university graduate with major in marketing-having actively participated in business club‘s activities and learned accounting and management-good in communication with people and like a lot of out door activities know how to tackle with people from all walks of life-skillful in operating words,excel,lotus1-2-3,etc-fluent in english and studied advanced level of mandarin 这个方法的好处是可让求职者清楚了解该职位是否适合自己,而本身资料又是否切合要求,而且,明白了各项要求后,就可依据每一点在履历表上重点提出自己在该方面的强项。 倘能换一种表述如:three years of job experience in different positions have offered me opportunities to understand different job aspects.-as a general clerk(ibm),accounts clerk (manley toy trading),i have learned how to prepare purchasing orders, place orders, handle accounting mattery, check voucher,……also(salesgirl, esprin)developing the technique of sellina, serving andstocking.

应征的职位-”position applied: management trainee”或”i am appling for……” 比如这个不错的例子job objective to begin as a marketing management trainee, with opportunity to advance to executive level and contribute to the development of firm.

tricks in job hunting interviewhere are good answers to some of the tougher questions asked in job interviews. if you can smoothly supply answers like these during the interview, you are bound to make a good impression.1. what is important to you in a job?mention specific rewards other than a paycheck for example, challenge, the feeling of accomplishment, and knowing that you have made a contribution.2. why do you want to work for this organization?cite its reputation, the opportunities it offers, and the working conditions. stress that you want to work for this organization, not just any organization.3. why should we employ you?point to your academic preparation, job skills, and enthusiasm about working for the firm. mention your performance in school or previous employment as evidence of your ability to learn and to become productive quickly. if the job involves management responsibilities, refer to past activities as proof of your ability to get along with others and to work as part of a team.4. if we hire you, how long will you stay with us?answer by saying along these lines: “as long as my position here allows me to learn and to advance at a pace with my abilities.”5. can we offer you a career path?reply: “i believe you could, once i know the normal progression within the organization. can you tell me about it?” the answer may be revealing.6. what are your greatest strengths?give a response like one of the following: “i can see what needs to be done and do it”, “i’m wiling to make decisions”, “i work well with others,” “i can organize my time efficiently.”7. what are you greatest weakness?identify one or two, such as the following:” i tend to drive myself too hard”, ” i expect others to perform beyond their capacities”, ” i like to see a job done quickly, and i’m critical if it isn’t.” note these weaknesses could also be regarded as desirable qualities. the trick with this question is to describe a weakness so that it could also be considered a virtue.8. what didn’t you like about previous jobs you’ve held?discuss the things you didn’t like, but avoid making slighting reference to any of your former employers.9. how do you spend your leisure time?mention a cross section of interests-active and quiet, social and solitary — rather just one.10. are there any weaknesses in your education or experience?take stock of your weaknesses before the interview. practice discussing them in a positive light. you’ll find that they are minor when discussed along with all the positive things you have to offer.11. where do you want to be five years from now?saying that you’d like to be president is unrealistic, yet few employers want people who are content to sit still. you might say, “in five years, i’d like to have my boss’s job. ” if you can’t qualify for your boss’s job by then, you may not be the fright candidate.12. what are your salary expectations?if you are asked this at the outset, it’s best to say, “why don’t we discuss salary after you decide whether i’m right for the job? “but if the interviewer asks this after showing real interest in you, speak up. she or he will probably try to meet your price. if you need a clue about what to ask for, say, ” can you discuss your salary range with me?”13. what would you do if….?this question is designed to test your reposes. for example: “what would you do if your computer broke down during an audit?” your answer there isn’t nearly so important as your approach to the problem. and a calm approach is best. start by saying, “one thing i might do is …” then give several alternative choices.14. what type of position are you interested in?job titles and responsibilities vary from firm to firm . so state your skills instead, such as “i’m good at figure work,” and the positions that require these skills , such as “accounts payable.”15. tell me something about yourself.say you’ll be happy to talk about yourself, and ask what the interviewer wants to know. if this point is clarified, respond. if not, tell why you feel your skills will contribute to the job and the organization. this question gives you a great opportunity to sell yourself.16. do you have any questions about the organization or the job?employers like a candidate who is interested in the organization. so this is a perfect time to convey your interest and enthusiasm. 如果聘用你,那将是他们的幸运!one last great tip about the actual interview: always end the interview with, “i am very interested in the position. what are the next steps to take?” boy, are you eager?
