why is it difficult to define, or rather, discover and acquire happiness? i think the major determinant lies in people’s attitudes. above all, there is little correlation between the circumstances of people’s lives and how happy they are. if you have a positive attitude a

nd are determined to find happiness in life, you are destined to be jolly. moreover, happiness lies in the struggle to be happy. perhaps if people shirted their goals from ultimate success to unswerving efforts and held the confidence that they will be successful one day they’d be a great deal happier.
为什么这么难以定义幸福，或者说，寻找幸福这么困难？我认为主要的原因在于人们的态度。人们生活的环境和他们有多快乐其实没有多大关系。但是你如果有一颗追求幸福的态度和追求幸福的执著，你肯定会变得快乐。况且，幸福正处在寻找幸福的道路当中。如果人们把他们的目标从追求最后的成功，改变为每天坚持不懈地努力，相信自己总有一天会成功，他们会变得更加的幸福。
how do people acquire happiness? no doubt, different people have diverse ways. the following are mine-the first secret is gratitude. we tend to think that being unhappy leads people to complain, but it is truer to say that complaining leads people to be unhappy. the second secret is realizing that happiness is a by-product of something else. the most obvious sources of happiness are those pursuits that give our live a purpose.
